Weekend Extra: Cloning Effect

Are you going to create a full version of Your test film, Mr. Nelson.

If I were you, I'd use this effect for evil duplicates that an evil wizard will have for one of his powers; Mr. Nelson.

i really need to know the music used in the test film, does anyone please know?

1 word! MASKING :)

In case someone has a friend who looks similarly proportioned, they could fake yet another faceless clone in the same shot with the original to make some clones actually cross paths besides the masked ones. You could also use a composited head but that takes a program like After Effects and much hard work to make it seamless.

I know this is an old episode but i think it might be relevant (i'll also put it in you latest episode on dialogue): When it comes to doing the cloning effect I have to trouble, It's the Damn Dialogue! What I mean is HOW do you work out the Timing from between the two of you? I realize that you did quite a few cuts in the scenes. But, is there truly a way or technique to sinc up both your characters dialogue so they don't cross over each other? PLease help! I'm desperate! :P

What Program you using?

I use Windows Movie Maker, can I do any of those? (I also use Wax, but can't upload videos on it (wrong file type). :'(...

I see that your using final cut to do this i dont have mac and i ve heard you can do this with adobe premiere so i downloaded but i cant figure it out can you help me or suggest a different program to do this with cuz its awesome!

A tip on cloning-If you're moving around a lot Don't step in front of your lite source or one clip will get different lighting than the other and it won't look good and will be hard to fix

you can make one go behind the other by using masks, i like Adobe After Effects to do that. The Test Film was very good ;)

And same as the "disappearing" extra a few weeks back, you should set your exposure and focus to manual, rather than auto when you shoot this. A variation I've used is to pan from one person on the left to that same person on the right, by cutting in the middle of the pan.
