awesome vid. hey pinstripe, didnt you see the cloning episode? lol

  • Kyle wrote on August 17, 11:48 pm

Very interesting I'll be sure to add that to my list of projects.

Forget about cloning Pinstripe...Why not make a robot like on one of the last episodes? Robots are cooler then clones lol.

Mike.. talk clearer next time! Anyways, sweet tutorial, but I had happened to read the exact same tutorial on ballistics gel online, but watching the visual process was extremely helpful.

    Thanks guys!

  • Bobbyjkl wrote on August 18, 12:16 am

Haha, what does ballistics jell do??

  • 0410warner wrote on August 18, 12:44 am

couldnt you make a fake head out of ballistics gel instead of styrofoam?

  • Claudia wrote on August 18, 1:54 am

hey gotta say, one of my fav parts of this tutorial is michael's beard, facial hair is plain sexy. just thought i'd mention that
anyway, thanks so much for this tut! even though i think the gel wouldn't look as squishy as all that good stuff inside our head would, like in the last episode, with the fake heads, we didnt see much consistency on the things that flew outta the clone's head, still looked great though but some chunks of whatever wouldve made it gorier and we all know that the gorier the merrier, anyhow it probably works great for zombie flicks
thanks bunches for the tutorial, great help as always (:

Does he talk funny on purpose?

  • DaDragonChild wrote on August 18, 7:09 am

If the ballistics gel were to be chopped up slightly into chunks (even after molding with a glass) inside a fake head, would the gel fly more spread if exploded or smashed between two cynderblocks?

  • Chief Hungry Bear wrote on August 20, 3:19 am

To MacevoyProductions if your filming on a flat surface, get a wheelchair get somebody to sit in it and hold the camera and get another person to push them around slowly.

I thought your squib idea for the non explosive low budget squib was awsome. I just can't figure out what the piece is that you use to pump up the bottle with. You called it a bike pump adapter and I have know idea where to get one. Can you please help me out thanks. Hubert.

How long does this last out of the cool fridge? I was curious to if it could be used for props in haunted houses and such? Maybe an additive to preserve and some color in the mix to cut out some of the latex work?
