Upon second look, that may not be a Q or slope adjustment dial, probably just a screw. LOL But the rest about the high pass filter still applies.

Love the site, just a note about the shotgun mic. It's not a low pass filter. It's actually a high pass filter. Shotgun mics have rather small diaphragms which are n't the best for low frequancies anyway, so a low pass filter blocking the high frequencies would be counter-productive. With the switch in the sraight position, there is no change/equalization. In the sloped position, it will attenuate or gradually cut/eq down all frequencies below a certain frequency. It looks like an audio technica, but I don't know which one. It could begin cutting anywhere from 200hz to 80hz down. It looked like there may have been a little dial as well, which may adjust the slope, or how sharply it cuts the bass. Just my .02 ;-)

Seems to be a Low CUT Filter, not a Low Pass Filter.

i was woundering how to make a copywrite form so i could use "Here Comes the Sun" by the beatles in my movie and not get my ass sued to funky town if u know what i mean. also is George Harrison one of the ones alive cuz i thik he wrote it.

soccersheets : You won't be able to used the Beatles music. The record company has a very tight reign on the Beatles music and doesn't let it get used anywhere. :(

If you want to get permission for other music, contact the record company AND the performing rights organization in your country. You need permission to use the specific recording (from the record company)and permission to use the song (from the songwriter). Be warned, It's expensive.
