~> Pirates of the Caribeean 3.
    ~> Epic Movie

    Best Holliday Movie:

That one who Shwazenegger must buy the Turboman figure for his son, I love this movie

  • EverydayTodayStudios wrote in reply on December 27, 1:01 pm

THUNDER025, you're thinking of Jingle All The Way.

Jared! How could you hate 28 Weeks Later?! And it's 28 Days Later, not 21.

  • hyperdrive wrote in reply on December 27, 2:14 pm

i loved 28 days later, but i thought that 28 weeks later was way too americanized.

  • BeyondForeverFilmss wrote in reply on December 27, 6:30 pm

What? it was shot in Britian with a bunch of british actors! and Boyle (28 days director) was highly involved with the film.

  • Jordan Bell wrote in reply on January 13, 10:56 pm

superbad was the funniest piece of work i have ever seen ive watched it 8 times already and wet myself three of those....How can you say it was bad!

  • M3n747 wrote on December 27, 11:46 am

I completely disagree with some of your choices. :) Come on, Pirates 3 were cool!

  • Aspiring-screenwriter-pat wrote on December 27, 12:12 pm

Come on 300 was a fun movie.

    Golden Compass sucked
Spider Man 3 was bad, it had some cool visuals but mostly it was retarded
I never saw Pirates 3 but I'll just assume it sucked

Yeah I don't think I've actually seen enough bad movies this year to make a list of five. Guess I can pick em pretty well.

  • maguilla wrote on December 27, 12:19 pm

Great list but 300 in it? c'mon people, give Zack Snyder some credit will ya. 300 went straight to the point with gory kills, awesome photography and kinda cool message. For a graphic novel adaptation they did helluva job.

Have some great holidays guys, and best of the best for all the gents and gals, fans of this great site.

And I don't mean to offend or upset anybody but what happened with the white balance there?

  • Nerupe (anon) wrote on December 27, 12:19 pm

  • Euro83 wrote on December 27, 1:30 pm

  • Kohrsfilms wrote on December 27, 3:26 pm

I don't know why people didn't like Pirates 3. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst either. It was a heck of a lot better than that trainwreck Spiderman 3.

When you said, "Epic Movie" I was like, "ok, this is going to be a list of BAD movies..." Then you put 300, Superbad, and Live Free or Die Hard and all of the Die Hard movies for that matter (unrated=way more kickass.) Justin must like movies like "The Notebook." I didn't even watch all of it tbh.

I agreed with Epic Movie, 300, and 28 weeks later. But how could you rag on Live Free or Die Hard and Ghost Rider? And you Eric, dude, A Christmas Story sucks. It sucked the first time I watched it, it sucked all the other times that TBS shoved it down our throats during those 24 hour marathons.

  • Black Dawn Productions wrote on December 28, 5:50 pm

I agree with everything except 28 Weeks Later.

i love that movie. The first one started off way 2 slow and took forever. it led up to bsically nothing. stupid movie. 28 Weeks Later much better than the first, more action.

p.s. must agree with the fact of how America is involoved a lot more in the second than in the first

  • Daniel (anon) wrote in reply on January 3, 7:29 am

no they aren't talking aout the fact there were americans in it, they said it was to amaricanized. you know, with the higher pace, predictable plot and the overload of action.

  • Black Dawn Productions wrote on December 28, 5:51 pm

  • kitzman wrote on December 29, 9:32 pm

asshole i told you that if you sed a cristmas story i would kill you and what did you say a cristmas story

  • EricR wrote on December 30, 3:52 pm

"Bad Santa"?!?!? Are you kidding? That movie sucked. It had such potential too. The concept was good and Billy Bob Thornton was a natural for the role. But it was all over the place. Don't get me wrong, I like jokes about misanthropic, sodomy-obsessed, department store Santas as much as the next guy, but I thought it was horribly unfunny. And what was the end all about?

As far as 2007 films, I thought "No County for Old Men" was another potentially good film which was sabotaged by multiple improbable scenarios (who uses a silencer on a shotgun?).

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I thought "Walk Hard" was hilarious.

As far as rock documentaries go, Julien Temple's doc "Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten" was brilliant. But if you're not a fan of the Clash ....

I'm probably in the minority on this one too, but I thought "Knocked Up" was disappointing. And I'm sick of seeing those damn little kids everywhere.

  • ashogo wrote on January 2, 1:18 am

I agree that 300 was not a very good film, and is completely overrated. The cinematography was freaking gorgeous, but other than that-the story seemed forced and the battle scenes were pretty intense but the weird enemies they were fighting really took away from it.
One thing though...the ending battle was perfect. The part where he gets on his knees, then rises and throws the spear-the tension, buildup, all really intense. Man that was well done.

  • Daniel (anon) wrote on January 3, 7:22 am

if you liked 300 you suck, mainly because i hate the way it raped one of the most important events of western history, but also because i think that if the movie were to be a person i think it would learn yoga to lick it's own ass, shove it's nose right up there and delight in the smell of it's own grotesque flatulence. rise of the silver surfer sucked because norrin radd is way more awesome then that and galactus looks bad as litle cloud of dirt. and i didn't like tha fact he got his ass kicked by the silver surfer... what the hell? now they'll never make a movie out of parable...

  • BonOfTheDead wrote on January 5, 8:57 pm
