Acceptable.TV Tutorials: Basic Story Structure
You might have seen Acceptable.TV, when VH1 briefly featured it last year, unfortunately cancelling it long before it's time. The idea of the show was to create a short film 2 Minutes or under, and they would feature the top winner of each week on the show, along with those created by special talent. You might recognize the idea, and realize that it was indeed a version of Channel101 on VH1, featuring Channel101 co-creator Dan Harmon, who we've spoken to previously here at Indy Mogul.
It was a great show that a lot of people really liked, but VH1 unfortunately couldn't find a place to fit it in between the 20 different shows they have featuring Flava-Flav, but before they shut down the show, they created a bunch of fantastic tutorials featuring Jack Black, that are very very simple - and while geared towards the format of Acceptable.TV - hold some invaluable advice for amateur filmmakers that I think you guys would appreciate.
