So You Want To Direct Music Videos?

Now's your chance.
Think you’re the next big music video director like Spike Jonze or Michel Gondry? Epic Records and Massify want you to prove yourself with an online music video contest for LA based band Low vs. Diamond. You have until September 7th to listen to the song, “Don’t Forget Sister” and check out the lyrics, and submit your short video treatment along with a storyboard. Still junior with your camera skills? Not to worry, the cool thing about Massify, is that they offer great video tutorials on shooting and storyboarding a Music Video.
Massify is currently collecting submissions, and an esteemed panel of industry experts will select their top 5. Then the Massify user community will decide who the true winner is.
Actors can get into this game as well. Starting October 17th, actors can submit online auditons for the lead of the winner’s chosen music video idea, with the panel and Massify community voting for their winning actor to star in the video.
Sounds like a big deal, eh? Don’t worry, you aren’t alone in this, as with most music video contests, you’ll be able to shoot with support and help from RSA Films, Ridley Scott’s production company. They will also supply equipment and production resources!
How cool is that?
