This was probably one of the toughest weeks of competition we've ever had for the 5 Minute Movie House, there was a great viewer response, and a lot of really fantastic submissions, but after a long fight there was only one left standing, this weeks victor was the very funny short "Kessel Run", by G. Jesse Martinez.

Its a bunch of nerds racing to get to ComicCon to stop one of their internet girlfriends Harry Potter themed wedding, madness ensues. I thought this was really funny, and so many dorky references that it just hit a soft spot with me. Great job.

Being a fellow comic nerd, I loved the theme. And my favorite part was wehen they told the girl they needed a princess leia. Awesome!

I loved it. The acting was bad, but in a great way. Someday I hope to find a nerd just like that. How did they get the camera shot from the inside of the car so steady? Eery time I do shots from the inside of the car it looks like I'm on a roller coaster. The perspective from the inside of the car from front to back was great too. It didn't feel cramped at all. Rock on nerds.

- Thanks for the positive comment. We didn't really use any sort of trick to keep the camera steady or anything. I told the driver to keep it under 25 and I propped myself as steady as I could while holding the camera. Glad you liked it. GJM

- Every time I get near a car the camera starts moving like I'm riding on a donkey. I have tried to make my own steady cam with a wooden frame and some plastic bungee cords but it gets really cumbersome and doesn't allow for rotational movement. I guess we have always been moving fast too.

well, this sucked. im sorry but the acting was utterly horrible and i really thought the whole nerd thing was extremely stupid.
