Oh, there are so many reasons to love Michel Gondry. He's just so freaking DIY, lo-fi, and fun. You'd never see Michael Bay pull off this kind of wackiness, you'd never see George Lucas create anything with a budget of less than the cost of a Manhattan apartment. Gondry just goes out and DOES, and god bless him for that.
