SyFy Face Off Contest!
Hey gang, being a website that loves what our fans have shown they can accomplish, we know that we've got a lot of great effects artists in our community, so this was just something that I felt had to be passed on. The SyFy channel is about to premiere a new show called Face Off, where a bunch of talented up-coming artists will compete to see who is the best, and who will end up getting a career deal. It sounds like a great show for anyone interested in effects work and i'll be checking it out, BUT in the meantime, they are organizing a contest open to the public!
You can read the full rules over at the SyFy Face Off challenge website, but the basics are, do your BEST make-up effect, take video of it, then submit it to SyFy before Feburary 10th, 2011, and you'll be in the running to win a New MacBook, ZBrush sculpting software, a computer tablet, a make-up case, and a professional brush set. It sounds really cool, and I think everybody should definitely consider submitting! Good luck!
