Visual Effects Supervisor's Bootcamp

For three days in December, aspiring filmmakers can learn visual effects from one of the best. It was recently announced that Ron Thornton will be one of the instructors at the upcoming Visual Effects Supervisor's Boot Camp to be held in Santa Fe, New Mexico from December 4th through 6th. Ron has worked as a supervisor and CGI producer for top TV shows and film projects, including Bablyon 5 and the Star Trek franchise. Ron has worked with both straight CGI effects as well as projects that combine live action with CGI. In addition to his impressive resume, Ron has also worked as a teacher, and has helped launch the careers of many aspiring filmmakers.
The Visual Effects Supervisor's Boot Camp is led by Lee Stranahan, a 25-year industry veteran with numerous credits and awards as a producer, director, and visual effects artist for his work in film, television, and Internet. Stranahan said, "Ron is a true legend and a larger than life figure in the world of CGI. He's an old friend and I couldn't be more honored to have him as part of the Boot Camp."
