Techniques of 'Turntabilism' are being injected into filmmaking.  DJ Steve Porter remixes video and audio for his video remixes.  His remix of the Slap Chop infomercial, called "Rap Chop," was a viral break out hit and below is his most recent Video remix that turns NBC's new show 'Community' into a mash-up rap/dance video.  

These Video Remixes are a new and innovative approach to filmmaking.  Steve Porter has applied techniques from turntablism and hip-hop towards videography.  From his editing techniques to using certain scenes or clips as a kind of visual 'refrain' in the video create an innovativeand completely new genre of filmmaking.  His work is an exmaple of how the boundaries, definitions, and limitations of filmmaking and film genre is always changing and evolving.
