Wesley's Weekly HOW TO: Embeddable Eyeball

We've featured builds with fake eyes in the the past, but something that Mogulville has been asking for, for a while is a embeddable eyeball that can be utilized for a costume (Like the Pale Man from "Pan's Labyrinth"). Since it's Mogulween, and this is sufficiently creepy to me I thought this would be a good build for this week.

For the basis of the build, I formed the "eyeball" out of some airdry clay, although you could easily substitute a gumball or superball or whatever other spherical object you have access to.

After it dried hard, I paint it with layers of white acrylic paint, and glazing medium, to try to give it a shiny wet look.

While that is drying, I took a plastic sandwich bag...

And trimmed a palm sized section out of it with some scissors.

Then I painted it with flesh colored creme make-up, and cut a slit in it, almost as wide as the eyeball.

Now that it's dry, I used the same pupil and technique that I utilized for my "Eye tear" build, and let that dry.

Then took the plastic sheeting, and stretched the slit around the eye.

Now, it's a matter of just putting it wherever you want. You can attach it either with spirit gum, or by dabbing liquid latex or white glue around the edges than pressing it down, and it sticks pretty well. Cover it up with some make-up and it actually looks pretty good.
This could easily be used for a "Third eye" on your forehead, for an embedded eye somewhere in your body, or make two of them and put them over your actual eyes for a "eyes bulging out of their sockets" effect.
