Need to Storyboard your Film? There's an App for that.
So I was poking about the internets and I found a new tool for filmmakers and it was so good I had to share it with everyone.
It's called Hitchcock [iTunes Link] and it is a storyboarding tool for your iPhone and iPod Touch. Basically, the deal is, you take photos of your locations, insert a pre-fab stand in. Add your actions (dolly, move, etc), time it out, and export the thing to a PDF that you can email to your crew. In short, you never have to draw another storyboard.
At $19.99, it's a little steep in the way of Apps for your iPhone or iPod Touch, but it's not as expensive as, say, numerous GPS apps or that ridiculous thousand dollar thing that got tossed a few years back. It's also rated at 4+, so most everyone who has bought the thing is pretty impressed and digs the $#!^ out of it.
I haven't tried it out yet, but I'm in the process of getting a film together and I can't draw worth two glinglefliggits. I'll give it a shot and let you know what my experience is. Do you have it? Let us know what you think. Is it worth getting? what other iPhone Apps have you found to help your filmmaking?
