I miss the old episodes.  All I learned was that I shouldn't talk to actors unless i have too.  that should have been a quick tip.  The lego movie looked really cool, though.

I recently did a 5 min video, for Chillers' Dare to Direct contest. I was working with a plus size model, who acts. In each scene, I told her what to do, and she did it. She didn't ask what her motivation was, or what were we trying to accomplish, she just did it. It was heavenly, to work like that. Also, we were on a deadline, and would never have finished, if she hadn't been so efficient.

Actors are so difficult, to work with. With inexperienced actors, you have to talk, to coax the performance, you need, out of them. If you can let them riff, on their own, that IS the best.
