hey i went to detonation films and it was great but whenever i try to use the free effects on adobe for somereason it says the file is missing nessacary content, is this because it is a zip file, did u run into this problem, and if so how did u overcome it

I've been trying desperately to make a green/blue screen, it seems the only cheep material I can find is reflective, making shine spots all over the screen making it very difficult to cut out. But my setup can't be painted or otherwise has to be removable without leaving much behind. I was wondering how you would go about doing it. Seeing as a lot of special effects for sci fi and what not depend on this FX. Thanks for the help.

Sanch, I would suggest using a lot of green screen for something like that. Could be very easy, actually ... not easy to explain in full though.

Before Latex Rubber became prevalent, oldschool makeup was sometimes gelatin based. You could cast multiple peices of the same makeup effect out of the same mold and the gelatin was less harsh on the actors skin. I had a recipe I found online a while back but my PC crashed and I lost it before I ever got to try it out.

Do you guy s have a recipe for Gelatin based make up ?

Im making a video for a contest and i need to know what to do when you look like you're getting electrified besides shaking. And in my first scene, my actors has one hand handcuffed to a bed while a zombie walks in. In this scene, my actor poles his hand hard and his hand comes off but stays in the handcuffs hanging. Shooting a no budget B-grade short horror film. Need to firure out how to shoot the effect of skin ripping on camera. Character's bladder bursts through his skin. We have some good ideas but not sure if they might look too ridiclulous. Any suggestions??

hey Deamed. u can get a funnel and put a tube on it and fill tht up with non-dairy coffee creamer then take a torch and leave it on over the funnel. finally take an air sprayer thing tht u would use to fill up ur tires and put tht into the tube and spray. u get a great fire ball and its a lot safer then using gas.
