OOH. That was really cute. I am very interested in learning more about how to make film like this but my camera is just a little Canon Sure Shot.

Do I need to get a professional camera? I AM BROKE but I want to do a film! ;) Loved, The Failure. You have a fan in me. So Fridays I will be looking out for the film of the week! ;)

    Steve CUT YOUR HAIR!!!

  • Hank (guest) wrote on May 2, 3:44 pm

Im sorry but I feel disapointed. I tune in every week to learn how to do something. There's already great ways to showcase forum members videos. At the least you could create a new show dedicated to that. 4 minute film school has had some great lessons of late, I really enjoyed the 2 parter on advanced lighting. But I did not learn anything from this.

  • Kitus (guest) wrote in reply on May 2, 3:59 pm

I aggree with Hank. I'm not saying the movie was rubbish, it was really well done, good angles and styles etc BUT 4 minute film school is about learning things, and yeah maybe you could learn from watching but there should be a separate section where you can watch other ppls movies. I hope next week makes up for this. It feels like you didn't put in much effort. I know you do a good job but ppl wanna learn things. i thought 4 min film school wos reali cool but now im not so sure.
    sorry

4 Minute Film School hasn't changed. All we did was show you guys a great project inspired by one of our episodes, it's not something that will become the show. But, more of a little break from the show. Next week will be back to normal. It's like having a substitute teacher in school and they would just put a movie on!

  • kitus (guest) wrote in reply on May 2, 6:09 pm

Hey steve, glad this isn't going to become the show. It was a good film. Do you guys have any plans for a user tab or something? Glad it will be back to normal next week.
Like the whole comparsion to a substitute!

  • Jcg64 wrote in reply on May 2, 6:24 pm

I think it would be cool to have a show just for viewer videos.

  • Jimmy Dean wrote in reply on May 2, 7:15 pm

seriously, i wait all week to learn something, and we get some piece of crap that we learn nothing from. that video was gay, if you want to showcase other peoples videos, than make a seperate show, becuase showing other peoples doesnt take any effort from you guys

  • DarkSkill (guest) wrote in reply on May 3, 7:20 am

I have to agree with Jimmy it's meant to be a SCHOOL not a persons film.
And the film was very stupid it had good shots but no story line
    Think before you shoot.

  • steve nelson wrote in reply on May 5, 2:12 pm

To Jimmy Dean: Should I teach you how to grow up and not cry when things don't go your way in this week's episode?

  • Kevin (guest) wrote on May 2, 4:27 pm

Nice movie it was really well done, a little short but still very nice. I just keep watching where Erik is crying and saying he doesn't have enough Quick Tips :D Don't know why.

  • tambrm1016 (guest) wrote on May 2, 4:42 pm

    Good Job Griffin!

  • Skycarl wrote on May 2, 5:00 pm

I thought Griffin did an outstanding job on this short. I do have to say I look forward to the tips and help normally shown on 4MFS. Perhaps a spinoff that shows films using techniques learned here, leaving this slot open for more teaching.

  • ClayOgre wrote on May 2, 5:36 pm

Excellent use of music in this. Some good camera angles. I kind of agree that it was a bit short.

Some of the dialog seemed a bit "campy", but I suspect that might have been the intent.

  • astalapitjes wrote on May 2, 7:38 pm

real nice movie, maybe a litle short, but i liked the begining whit the window, real nice, did you do that by dimswitching the light? or some computer effect?
also i didnt realy liked the ending, it might of been funny, but is was expecting something more
    all by all, i give it a 4/5 ^^

that was awesome! I wish I was making films of this caliber at your age. kudos amigo, kudos!

I agree... if I was doing that well back in the day, I'd own the Los Angeles Basin by now.
