are you freakin kidding me? i waited for hours at a time for this episode to come on this morning!!! and this is what i get?!

  • Jier wrote on August 25, 8:51 pm

What more do you want? Podcast on prop making, and Erik built an animated prop. I do believe you are being simply nit-picky!

  • Velkyn wrote on August 30, 6:10 pm

Holy crap man! THe entire show/site/concept is about hollywood-type effects for cheap. Put up your film since you seem to think you can do better.

  • Vincent (guest) wrote on August 25, 5:14 pm

    finally!

  • xpurexhellx wrote on August 25, 5:20 pm

    loved it

    You tell 'em, Justin.

  • Amiah wrote on August 25, 5:23 pm

Great build! And I love the crossover. MORE CROSSOVERS! =D

The testfilm was great. Oh, and Steve was extremely funny in the testfilm =P

  • bob (guest) wrote on August 25, 5:24 pm

awesome but those were bionoculas not googles

  • (guest) wrote on August 27, 1:17 am

Great choice of music. Abney Park Rules

  • KMProductions wrote on August 25, 5:25 pm

Awesome! That was amazing. Rob and Corine did great. You should do episodes together more often. I can't download it though and I really want to.

  • jediknight1234 wrote on August 25, 5:28 pm

sweet!!!! This is one of the coolest test films yet!!!

  • twizzle12 wrote on August 25, 5:31 pm

rob and corrin did a great job with this test film! i cant wait till friday

  • uhrisuh wrote on August 25, 5:33 pm

Really great episode. Rob and Corrin did an awesome job in the test film. And awesome Air ship Jared!

  • beaucomix wrote on August 25, 5:35 pm

    so worth the wait

  • DementedlyHappy wrote on August 25, 5:36 pm

The "We're almost there! Just a little bit more" line didn't sound too convincing, but other than that, all the acting was great! Too bad you didn't use the goggles more!

  • ninjapiratemonkey wrote on August 25, 5:40 pm

if anyone makes goggle like these at all, please let us see!

  • ciwi286 wrote on August 25, 5:43 pm

The goggles were kickass and Rob and Corinne did an awesome job. The test film was great

  • Vladimyr wrote on August 25, 5:45 pm

That was fantastic!! I'm a big ThreadBanger junkie as well so this was extra fantastic for me! Love the Steampunk!!

  • Seth Johnson (guest) wrote on August 25, 5:47 pm

That was a pretty good test film, though you didn't see much of the 'binoculars'. I think a problem this one will have is that the kids on here won't get the background of a 'steam punk'. You should probably clear up the inspiration.

  • jimmyji123 wrote on August 25, 5:54 pm

Ok the test film was okay but show more of the binoculars because we only saw 3 seconds of it! like the binonoculars is the effect so show it more!!! (other than that it was pretty good)

  • Whitney (guest) wrote on August 25, 5:55 pm

I love Abney Park! And I've been on a steampunk kick so I'm so glad you guys are doing this!

  • John (guest) wrote on August 25, 6:17 pm

A lot of effort for the test film, but...you show the goggles for about 2 seconds. What??

  • mwmoviemaker wrote on August 25, 6:49 pm

where did you get the model of the ship??

  • jared wrote on August 26, 10:31 am

i made the ship out of a corsair II yacht model and an a-10 warthog jet model. erik made the balloon out of wire and a trash bag.

  • Spencer (guest) wrote on August 25, 7:17 pm

Great work! The only thing is, you guys already had all of your materials, pretty much. Kinda cheap for the rest of us that don't have em but, whatever lol

  • orientalpuzzleboxproductions wrote on August 25, 7:18 pm

    loved this episode
    MOR CROSSOVERS!!!

  • anomalie (guest) wrote on August 25, 8:21 pm

Great episode! I enjoyed the crossover and I'd be happy to see more like this where you have a theme, so you can address both props (or whatever the case may be) and costumes that work together. Looking forward to TB's contribution.

Oh, and they both did great in the test film! As did both Erik and Steve, as always!

  • Vincent Colombo (guest) wrote on August 25, 8:28 pm

Liked the episode but I have to second the "those weren't goggles" point. Definitely binoculars, so it would be nice if you could do some steam punk goggles at some point. Something you could strap on and actually wear rather than just look through.

  • Felicia Escapade (guest) wrote on August 29, 4:20 pm

There's a tutorial for steampunk goggles over on Threadbanger. It's really good, so I'd recommend you check it out!

  • www.youtube.com idillon0 wrote on August 25, 9:09 pm

i thought that the build was cool but the test film wasnt that good.

  • Stupid Penguin Films (guest) wrote on August 25, 9:24 pm

This was really cool and awesome, but i think karin's acting could have been a little better. But the test film was very dramatic in a comedy kind of way. 4.5/5!

  • corinne not karin (guest) wrote on August 26, 12:21 am

well, if you think you would make a better airship captain, why don't you challenge me to combat like the ancient air pirate code dictates?!

Excellent as usual! The crossover was great! You guys are the best thing on this internet thing!

  • Aspiring-screenwriter-pat wrote on August 25, 11:46 pm

Why do you spend hours and hours making a cool prop then only show it for a second in the test film?

  • Leix (guest) wrote on August 26, 6:50 am

That's just how it is sometimes. It's like the flux capacitor from Back to the Future.

  • TempusFrangitProds wrote on August 25, 11:51 pm

    awesome! do more crossovers!

  • Patuman wrote on August 26, 12:05 am

  • D.T wrote on August 26, 2:04 am

Haha great awesomeness! Good work lot of fun to watch ^^ The result turned out super great also!

  • Blake (guest) wrote on August 26, 2:51 am

Sweet. I like the crossover idea. I think a bit more focus on how you hooked up the mechanically working part of the thing would be cool. And actually Steve I thought was the best part of the test film. He acted the best I think. Nice one overall though.

  • M3n747 (guest) wrote on August 26, 4:15 am

Absolutely great episode! Gary was the best. :D

  • neckstab wrote on August 26, 4:21 am

Those are some SUPER BAD ASS BINOCULARS!!!!! You can't really wear them or see out of them though... right?

It would be cool to see a build of some wearable Steampunk Goggles....

  • snarlingbadger (guest) wrote on August 31, 10:00 am

There's an ep of Threadbanger with a goggles tut.

  • Saint13 wrote on August 26, 4:48 am

    great,awsome sweet episode

  • Bloodaxe wrote on August 26, 9:53 am

I am not sure who the audience was that you intended to watch the building the goggles segment. I have noticed that many of your how to have changed over the past year going away from the basics.

Enjoyed the test film. Perhaps you should consider an episode breaking down each step of putting together the film.

  • stripedflag wrote on August 26, 10:56 am

So they built an air ship that could run on pee...
    Great job on the goggles

  • bigmuddyfoot wrote on August 26, 11:09 am

Oh. My. Snog. That was amazing. I'm new to the Steampunk scene, but Abney Park is one of my favorites. And the film? Effing brilliant. I loved it. Crossovers make life better. Keep up the amazing work, can't wait to see what happens next!

in the next epiode can u guys make suit of the dark knight?

  • 1314paf wrote on August 28, 12:25 am

The crossover segment was a fantastic idea. I'm looking forward to more like it in the future. The steampunk theme was also a great idea because that's an untapped market and I know a lot of people who would love to be able to build steampunk props on the cheap. Love your tutorials guys, it really helps out with my inspiration.

  • fawndolyn (guest) wrote on August 28, 2:52 pm

Yay Abney Park! Yay Steampunk! Yay best test movie ever (so far)! Yay Threadbanger/IndyMogul crossover!!

  • jimmyji123 wrote on August 29, 5:38 pm

  • Velkyn wrote on August 30, 6:08 pm

Great job on the build, and the test film too. Only thing though, Corinne(?) seemed to smile a little too much, but otherwise a great job.

  • LePainMystique (guest) wrote on September 1, 12:44 am

I live in Canada and I /do/ know a thing or two about Steampunk. The crossover was awesome, as was the test film.

o_o and Your, uh, binoculars were right awesome.

  • knyazprime wrote on October 19, 9:15 am

Over all this is my favorite test film to date. It was also the final motivator for me and some of my crew to get down to actually getting some of our own stuff done... that does NOT have anything to do with friggin frog puppets! (of course the frog puppets actually pays...)
Definitely more cross overs with Threadbangers.
    YOU ROCK!
