This jet pack is awesome ... but I feel bad for Gary the puppet that he never got to give it a shot. Blasting a puppet into space sounds like a blast to me!

I enjoyed the show. It's like "Myth Busters" meets "Movie Magic."

  • Tim wrote on May 15, 5:20 pm

This is so cool, Erik... great job. Everyone always complains about not having their jetpacks, but you just went and made one.

Here's a challenge for a future episode: ZERO GRAVITY.

  • Marc Lougee wrote on May 15, 5:49 pm

Freakin' awe-some. Forget lunch for two weeks; I'm saving up to build a JETPACK. Thanks, fellas!

  • djkaufmana wrote on May 16, 9:45 am

Very cool stuff! Would love to see some 'flying' effects that don't require costly post production software like Final Cut or After Effects.

  • Timur wrote on May 16, 12:32 pm

  • Stef wrote on May 16, 1:53 pm

This show is sweet. My no/lo budget films from years back had firecrackers taped to blood packs on my actor's body, and running rocker launcher starter wires up his shirt. The bruises were nasty - some of these tricks and programs seem a lot less painful. Keep up the good work.

  • ErikBeck wrote on May 17, 4:16 pm

The Pupets name is Gary. Stay tuned, next weeks episode is all about puppets!

Your dry chem (Halon) is kinda toxic...it's amonia base.

YOu best get a pure CO2 (gas) extinguisher. it's easier to come out...the spray...since it doesn't have too much mass (the dry powerder).

The CO2 dissapates faster, no residue to clean up. A better effect, I think. Nothing to vac after the shoot. Oh, did I mention dry chem is slightly toxic?
