Ah yes, another remake! But this one hardly looks familiar! These images are from Tim Burton's upcoming ALICE IN WONDERLAND, which Disney will release next spring in Digital 3D and IMAX 3D. What you're looking at here is Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bohnam Carter as the Red Queen, and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen. Based on USA Today's recent article, it looks like this will be like RETURN TO OZ.

So, does Burton still have the magic touch or has he lost his head? Is this more Burton than Carroll, or are they kindred spirits?

For me, while interesting, I don't know if I want to see that Mad Hatter coming at me in 3D!! :P

i think this film is going to be amazing, i'm a big fan of the story, and Tim Burton's style and previous works really work for it. i had a look at the cast on imdb and the only one of the title characters that i know nothing about the actors is the one playing alice, but the rest i think will work well in their roles (yay Stephan Fry as the cheshire cat). gah, unbelievably excited about this now.

Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter will be great as long as he doesn't channel any of his awfulness from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. And the stark white face of him in this picture while it is definately creepy just looks awkward. The blazing contrast between his face and hair is just too much.

It looks like it is weird but not nearly as weird as the movie Alice another retelling of the story done in stop motion and live action. The characters looks like clowns in this but the background of wonderland looks pretty neat

I cant wait for this movie! The stills look absolutly amazing. Im looking forward to Matt Lucas' performance as tweedle dee and tweedle dum.
