Disney owns ABC, which makes all kinds of adult themed shows. So I do not see them making the characters anyless as adult as their current story arcs. Remember Lost? its very adult, violent and awesome, to say the least. So who knows, eh? Its all about business in the end, and disney wont stop till they own EVERYTHIGN RAR!

I love Disney's "Kingdom Hearts" series; will they add marvel characters to the games? And, more importantly, will that ruin the game?

The problem Warner Brothers does indeed own DC, and can back them up with near bottemless pockets. Only thing is Warner Brothers makes movies, where as Disney makes characters who like to share apple juice cause they're just nice like that, and though now they say they don't wanna mess with Marvel's content in any way, it's just a matter of time before they forget about that little comment, and start asserting their strict moral code. Now if you excuse I'm going to go drop my pants and hang myself.

My guess is that this simply means that Marvel will have more marketing devoted to it, more merchandise, and better animated TV shows. So long as Disney doesn't screw around with em, I'm content.

So, are we now going to see a Marvel/Disney/Square Enix franchise? A la Kingdom Hearts?

Glad to see someone finally make the DC/WB comparison, instead of just the regular jokes about Marvel being "Disney-fied". The Disney empire is more than just the Mouse, there is ABC television for one example where more adult fare exists outside of the cartoony realm. I doubt we'll see Spider-Man hanging out with Mickey Mouse anymore than Superman hangs out with Bugs Bunny. One thing is for sure though, it's much less likely there will be another Marvel/DC crossover in the future.

I'm not sure how I feel about the whole thing. Like you said, with Disney's backing, Marvel has a lot more opportunities opening up, but then again, Disney might try to tone down the characters we know and love

honestly I'm not too worried about Disney and Marvel hooking up. Yes Disney might rape marvel like they did to the Jim Henson company but i think marvel knows how to survive the punisher that is Disney corp.
