'Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief' Movie Review

It was not great, but still watchable. As said in the video, it was lacking. Perhaps because it barely sticks to the story! I mean, I'm not even through the first chapter and only some characters are the same. For instance, in the book, Percy killed Mrs.Dodds with the pen-sword, not Mr.Brunner yells at her and she drops him. Overall, it wasn't Avatar, but still watchable. Rent it if you just feel like having something to watch at the dinner table, but not if you need something cool for your Saturday afternoon.

That movie was AWESOME!
Although, I do agree that the book was better, and the movie cut out the best parts of it! Those people ARE NUTS!!!
I give it a 9, that's right a 9!!!!!!!!!

Reader of the entire series , I saw this movie ,it was fun but half the crap in it wasn't in the book , and other stuff was left out , does chris columbus think he has the next freakin twilight on his hands? if so that would explain why he thinks the book is "childish"

As one of hte biggest fans of the percy Jackson series, and a Chris Colombus fan, it pains me to give this movie a 7 for overall film and a 4 for anyone who has read the books. The plot was done away with and made fairly corny, while the humor that kept things funny in the books was lost onto the screen.  This movies merit was its CGI- and when any movie relies on that, you know it will tank. Percy Jackson looked like a Zack Efron....

I went to see this, and it was amazingly exciting rather than scary

it was not that actiontastical!!! that was ME!!! im so happy i didnt look so bad on film xD it really wasnt what i expected it to be but its okaii they tried hehe i love harry potter way more
