'Avatar' Movie Review

this movie is the best 3 and half hour movie i have seen in my whole life

To me, this appears like a combination of Star Wars, and Disney's pochantas.

I would give this a 12 of 10 if I could. The story was just as amazing as the effects. The thing is most people don't really think and understand the story they just look at the pretty graphics, If you do pay attention to the story line you'll see how much it resembles the Human race and maybe help to change some things. I was blown away when I saw this movie in Imax 3D and could wait to see it again.

6/10 James Cameron is one of the finest directors in the past 3 decades, but this was not a typical Cameron film... it was bad. It was visually stunning, the cinematographer did an amazing job mixing the CGI and real action, and it will help advance film technology no doubt, but it lacked a story. With no story there is no movie, no matter how pretty it looks, or what dimension it is shown in. Every line was followed by an even more cliche line, and you knew the entire story within the first half hour, so just give it to me in an interesting story with good dialogue in 2 hours instead of 3. Maybe if Cameron spent 10 years writing the script and 2 years shooting it, it would have been better.

The story was Pocahontas.... everything else AMAZING

this is more awesome than watching someone get set on fire then fall over on youtube

I don't understand why James even needs to say he's king of the world, he's stating the obvious.I'd give it a nine and a half out of ten.

100/10 it blew my mind. it makes me sad that its not real.

it was not the best movie i've ever seen, but it was amazing; kinda like a futuristic cowboy vs. indian movie.

Rateing 7/8 Visialy stunning. The Story is a 'Fern Gully' Rehash. without the music and the wise cracking Bat. Best Movie Ever..Sorry, Over-hyped.

i say it in a crappy 20 seat theatre in scotland where the sound kept muting but it was still an amazing film. in close ups of grace i thought sw was just painted blue and every 15 minute you forget your watching and you beleive your there. but the story is lacking its made from dances with wolves, pocahontis, matrix, lotr, and king kong but james adds something original and true in every scene 9/10

i just got home from watching avatar
first row probably wasnt the best idea and the fast motion mix with the 3d
made it kind of a head ache from the start but the IMAX sound was the best and your eyes adjust.

overall great movie would be best in my house on blu ray on my big tv w/ surround sound tho

but i would still recommend to see it in IMAX im just not used to 3d

The closest we will get to a full body experience untill they invent virtual reality pods

I saw this movie the midnight showing and then I saw it again that night! It was the greatest movie experience I have ever seen, and when the film ended I didn't want to leave my seat because I just wanted more! James Cameron has made the greatest movie ever!

8/10 - I went from "damn this movie is so beautiful but it's looking shitty" to "damn this movie is REALLY beautiful and is kick ass!" once I got past the rushed beginning and found some good symbolism and amazing fight scenes.

9/10. Avatar = Dances with Wolves + battle of Minis Tirith from LOTR: Return of the King meets Terran battles against Protoss (Starcraft) and CG gorgeousity.

Cameron is amazing and I love the rip on Michael Bay at 4:35! He certainly should be paying attention.
