'Cirque du Freak' Movie Review

Horrible letdown for me. I have read all of the cirque du freak series and was wired when i heard they were doing a movie. However when i saw this...well..it was horrible. First of all the casting was really bad. Darren could not act for crap and I couldnt believe John C Reily as Mr. Crepsley and their story was WAY TOO mixed up. Never will a film adaption of a book get the facts perfectly right but the attempt in the vampires assisstant was abysmal. Cmon steve killin the teacher, really? and the fact that you even saw steve again or mr. tiny. The whole thing with the spider at school was a stupid attempt at a kiddish concept. The freaks themselve's had almost all been "kiddisized". That wolfman...dont even get me started and wtf was this rebecca person. They took out an integral person from later in the storyline and replaced her with a stupid character that serves no purpose. It takes away from the bond that darren and evra formed. Many important characters were thrown in and out so quickly that it became a jumble and then chaos. It seems as though paul weitz (i think thats his name) tried to condense the entire story into one movie, and on top of that make it so childish and poorly explained. This series had GREAT potential as a film series and i am sad to see all that potential get thrown away

it was a cool movie but not the best.The Dark Knight & Watchmen are my fav d[-_-]b

LOVED IT!! For me, The best film of the year so far. Loved the direction and it was cast perfectly

I read all of the books , so I deffinately going to see this movie. if its even close to the books it will be great
