In the Marvel Avengers I would like to see Wolverine, Giant Man, Captian America, Black Widow, Hulk, Ironman, Thor, Human Torch, Nick Fury, Wasp and The Black Panther.

I really think wasp should be in the movie she was the first girl to join she so should be in it

I want to see Captain America as a team leader, not Fury or Iron Man. If i hear that Iron Man is the leader, i'll protest to marvel studios to make Cap the leader.

Iron Man, Thor, Wasp, Ant Man / Giant Man and The Hulk....followed by Captain America are the initial characters that I'd love to see in an Avengers movie. 
Then (either in this movie or a sequel) Hawkeye, Black Widow, The Black Panther, The Vision, The Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. It would be great if Marvel incorporated some of its earlier (most popular) members so I'd have to say no to Spider-Man, Wolverine and War Machine etc! However I'm sure because War Machine was featured in Iron Man 2 he will most probably be included in the Avengers movie. I wish superhero movies would stay as true as possible to the comics because if it wasn't for the fine portrayal of the earlier Avengers there wouldn't have been any growth in their popularity so there wouldn't be a movie for us to look forward to!

Not really, I would rather have Jon Hamm, at least he looks more the part. Chris Evans looks to young and he seems like he would make the character of Captain America seem immature taking from how he plays The human torch.

ok captain amaerica needs to be in this damn movie no questions asked and he needs his own movie like right now and iron man 3 needs to be made as well peoples. i agree with some of these poeple everyone from the avengers needs to be in the movie and you might as well hang it all up if you dont add captain america and give him his own movie. you need a beefed up guy to play him too not a scrawny guy! i hope nobody is left out in the cold on this one people alot and i mean alot of people will be very disappointed if people are left out. mainly captain america

Being Canadian, I don't mind too much if Captain America would be the leader of the avengers, however, I think Robert Downey Jr. is so great at being Iron Man, I'd like to see him take center stage. Besides, Captain America is just not my favorite hero, after all, being raised in a different country, you become patriotic for the land you lived on (although I'll probably go check out that movie when it comes out).

I for one would NOT like to see the Hulk in this movie for two reasons.
1. I disliked the movie. Bad storyline, I never found out how he got his powers, or how a tiny sample of his blood made a much more powerful villian. Shouldn't the beast with gallons and gallons of this mutated blood be the stronger one?
2. I can't see him as a hero. If anything, he is an enemy, because all you ever see him do is destroy everything and everyone.

I also DO NOT want to see spiderman. Of coarse, I used to like spiderman, but his storyline is just getting worse. All three movies are dissapointing considering he used to be my favorite hero.

if this movie is about the Marvel Ultimate Universe then the Wasp HAS to be in it. If they're going for the original Avengers then the Hulk, Wolverine, Ant Man, and the Wasp were all founding members of it.....just saying. And come on.....the guy who Johnny Storm was AWFUL! He is one of the most annoying actors ever....and they casted him as playing on of the most serious comic book heroes next to batman or superman.....Captain friggan America....sweeeeeeeettt

Since iron man 2 already came out the fact of the matter is that thor and captain america are both gonna be in the avengers plus the hulk 
But they need the other two charecters that started the avengers the movie would not be the same if Ant-Man and The Wasp are not in it sorry about going nerd but seriously the original avengers are going to start it first

they should NOT be making anohter loose end! they still have to tie off Wolverine origins and the Deadpool movie. plus im sure they were thinking about the incredible Hulk 2 and and other random Marvel movies. they're tripping over themselves, first they should get over some of the other movies they've promised, then they can move on.
oh well, its gonna be difficult, seeing as in the comics all the marvel characters cross over and fight crime as awesome separate groups. and id like to know what they're going to do with Miss Marvel and the Pixie lady, that'll be interesting. with the realise of The Avengers, fans will be twiddling their thumbs and waiting for the back stories of all the characters. good luck is all i have to say

captain America's story is more about the creation of a supersoldier; origionally done by the nazis ( thus the tragic holocust); with their inhumane experiments on innocent people. That part of history should be told......

Hate to be the nerd here, but captian america started his first role killing off hitler. While that was all great an honky dorie back in the nineteen forties a guy who fights with a shield and sometimes has a pistol just is not that cool as a modern charecter. I think when they killed off captian america, that should have been the end of it. Plus I mean really? how does that even fit in a movie? The guy would have to at least be twenty fighting in world war 2 and he is still young in 2012? I mean if tony stark had the fountain of youth you know he would have gotton it first with a bunch of hot honeys. I hope they introduce some more of the ladies for more dynamic in that film. With all those charecters with all thier backgrounds wouldn't it be better just to make a mini-series?

I dont want Chris Evans to play captain america at all! hes gonna do so bad! he was great as Human Torch cause its a douch bag character! but he CANNOT pull off captain. Also i wanna see Spiderman but i know it wont happen. it would be amazing if he was in it.

I've got much more faith in these upcoming movies and they will do well at the box office both domestically and internationally. It's not their nationality that fans from across the globe recognize, but their pathos. They're more grounded than other heroes *cough-DC-cough* due to their flaws and ability to relate to us because of their human personalities. Guys like Iron Man and Captain America are more down to earth than heroes like Superman and Batman.

As for who will be in the Avengers, it's up in the air so far. Haven't heard if War Machine will be in the big picture, but I'll bet my bottom dollar Black Widow will be. Same for Edward Norton, would like to see him and Downey Jr. have some screen time together. Word is that Hawkeye is making an appearance in Thor, but that hasn't been confirmed... yet. He' a definite shoe-in because of his ties with Iron Man in the comics and one of the earliest replacement for the team. I'd like to see Wasp on the team also and, if possible, She-Hulk to come in too. The latter choice seems more likely for a sequel.

the problem with these movies is that you all may know the characters and the marvel comics but in most of Europe and especially the Netherlands people would not give kids these type of violence embracing comic books because we are use to mostly french comics such as Astirx & Obelix , lucky luc people that read marvel comic books are really weird where I live because only crazy people spend over 10 euro a issue on comic. 
the reason why xmen and spiderman are so popular in europe is becuase we know the cartoon none of the people I know ever read a marvel comic book. these movies are doomed
