Oscars 2010 Best Picture Nominees – Part 2

I think that it should be district 9 it took the an idea that was new used before. Usually the aliens are all high teck and what not or there blood thirsty cannibals. But this is in between they no how to fight but they are not that hight teck but there weapons are good and they do have a space ship. But they were treated like african and natives even know the world is resist. Instead of putting it in a place like new york it did in a third class place i think that was cool to! :)

Inglorious Basterds: I don't think it's gold material, but it has a shot. It's most definitely going to win -something- at the awards. Best picture? I'm iffy. || Precious: Really hard to categorize because it's one of those films not meant to appeal to general audiences, but rather to closer audiences. Academy has it's eye on it though, so maybe it has a chance, but I've no idea. || A Serious Man: Haven't seen. || Up: This would be a huge accomplishment were it to win. It won't, I'm -almost- certain, but I think all of us who've watched it are rooting for it anyways. || Up in the Air: Another film with a lot of potential and a lot of backing. This goes right up along side The Hurt Locker in my personal view of potential wins. || Moon's missing though. C'mon Academy... Not a single nod?... You suck.

I feel Basterds should win, but if hurt locker wins I'm alright with that. Now 10 isn't to much, because it was like that in the 30s, yet it is pointless.Because in the other awards it is all was Avatar, Precious, Hurt locker, Up in the air, and Inglourious basterds. Tarantino direction is Outstanding rather than Cameron who only made a cool experience, but a pointless story. With Avatar people just paid more attention rather than the story and acting, which is mediocre. While I liked it, it is OVERRATED. So in conclusion Basterds should win, but WHERE WAS THE ROAD?! That was the best picture, which was beautiful.

I vote inglorious basterds. I personally think 10 is way to many and that it should go back to 5 or maybe 7. The biggest thing that the academy missed is moon. It frustrates the hell out of me as this was easily in my top 3 for this year. Sam rockwells performance DEFINITELY should win,no one this year has even come close. But i guess thats what you get for making an Indy film that deals with sci-fi

I think that District 9 was by far the most original film that was released this year. It's a completely different take on alien movies and what if they came down and didn't want to take over. It had really good messages, especially about race and hate. My vote hands down goes to District 9!
