the comments about not being able to buy air soft overseas is crazy i live in Germany and with most western European countries there are 10 air soft stores that i know if within walking distance of my apartment just you cannot order them online because the American ones are rated using the English system and customs will not let them through without a metric power rating but honestly i have probably 10-12 air soft rifles, pistols, shotguns, and all that i bought locally for about 10-30 euro a piece

And I also can´t understand the spelling so I can´t translate it. as long as everone is going to push the animitronic build, i would like to see if in that build they could discribe how to make lifelike animitronic wings. a lot of people r requesting ak-47s so i looked it up on youtube and it turns out theres a guy that builds a whole bunch of different guns.  with a couple of details the guns could look pretty awesome.  anyway, heres the link..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYetL_J07BY

Here is a quick list of some things I would like to see on BFX shows.
1. Gobos and Lighting Rigs to hold them.
2. Mock car interior (for studio shots)
3. Realistic miniature sets cityscapes, forest, mountains, etc..
4. Updated artifical snow rig and ground snow.
5. Full suit of Armor.
6. Full head masks.
7. Animatronic or cable controled puppets.
8. Sound design and effects (foley)
9. Practical police car light bar (very hard to buy if your not a police dept.)
10. Custom dentures.

Also I would like to learn more about different materials being used in the film industry, silicones, soft and ridged expanding foams, mold making and casting. Also some basic electronics (soldering)  Thanks and keep up the good work.

Zack, it must be a pain to put up with some of the moot questions here. I mean, it's not like it's really that hard for people to be creative if they want to be. Creativity itself doesn't cost any money. It's only acquiring the materials that does. The materials are the puzzle pieces for the complete jiggsaw. The mind puts it together. I'm sure low-budget film-makers can reach expert standards as long as they really open up their creativity. Doesn't even take a movie or a video game.
Please keep inspiring people to really express themselves and to avoid copying Hollywood at every corner. While Hollywood may be the blockbuster capital of the world it doesn't define everything that film-making is about. It's art, nothing more and nothing less.

Who said that Airsoft Weapon are forbidden Overseas? In what Country? I'm from Germany an as I know they are not forbidden anywhere in Europe. Well you can buy them here, even for cheap. But you are not allowed to run around with them Outside in the Public. But I think that is the same Law in the U.S.

Well, there are A LOT of places overseas that make airsoft guns illegal or two-tone (Like UK and Netherlands) but there are a lot of cardboard gun tutorials on the web, and there was a former BFX UrFX episode where someone showed how to make a desert eagle look-alike. P.S. where I live overseas Airsoft is a very popular sport.

You know what I'd like to see on BFX, a giant BUG, more specifically a roach. A simple puppet will do. it only needs to sustain seconds at a time on film. Oh, and also it doesn't need to be all wires and cables, again as simple as possible, thank you for your time, good-bye!!!

The heat gun was also used for the Indiana Jones face melting effect a while back. I've also used them to help speed up drying processes, you just have to make sure you keep the heat distributed evenly. Also, for gun tutorials, if you consider yourself an artistic type of person and you have patience, then you could construct them out of cardboard, when done right they look all right, but for hardly any money thats pretty good. look on youtube for more on cardboard weapons.

Zack, I really enjoy episodes like these, I think it helps out people more than you may realize so please keep at them.  As for your comment about doing specific request builds, whether from a video game or movie, I don't believe those items are "one use" only.  For example, the Portal gun, it has multiple applications in different movie settings.  You can use the Portal gun as just that, or as a part of a much larger robot/cyborg build.  Throw in some stop-motion animation and you have your own alien sentry.  Reaching a little farther in application, show it in a movie as an industrial tool for moving inventory crates and later on used as an "improvised weapon" by the hero of your flick.  My point is this: just because one person can't think of a new use that doesn't mean no one else can.  As with doing everything on an indie budget, a little creativity and imagination means even styrofoam coffee cups stacked and filmed in "miniature" can be nuclear reactors; everything has 1001 uses, just need to think outside the box.

As always, great job, I applaud all the efforts of everyone on your crew, and look forward to the many more builds you'll bring to the community.

Yes, here (Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay as far as I know, and I think most countries in the region have similar laws), you can get them, but they come in neon colors. They are not as rare are you make them to be in your comments. In Paraguay, they were fairly easy to get, actually. :P

Yeah, Airsoft is a tricky thing outside of the US. I live in the UK, and while you can get Airsoft guns here, you have to be 1) over 18 and 2) registered on a database under the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006. You don't need to be registered to get unrealistic ones, but that's beside the point. The point of the law is that people used to use Airsoft guns and the like to mug people with, so they get regulated.

The heat gun can be used to also bend and shape PVC. With practice you can get some smooth arcs in a way much safer than heating it over the stove.
