Hi, I was wondering if you guys had any tips or suggestions on making a cheap and simple set? I need something for a sci-fi alien planet, but general tips would be great!

could you make a cheap break-away wall for an actor to run through?

how would you make a SAFE small explosion?

can you make a preditor outfit or atleast the mask or the two blades

Nicely done with the rig. My thought is that it also helps to shoot the rain up, so it falls naturally. A good backlight on the rain will also help you see the rain

My Rain machine was only $8.00, instead of wood I used two mop poles and just tied everything together with the cable ties. It Works Great!

How do you get the Rain Machine above your actors?

The rain in the test film doesn't even look like its there. it looks like you shot it in front of a black screen, and superimposed it. I don't know if thats a compliment or an insult... but it's meant as a compliment!

Any suggestions on how to use this rain effect if you don't have access to a water supply, (ex. if you have a shot that requires you to be in the middle of a street) ?

Wicked, i need a job so i can afford to make all this stuff. Ive done the gun shot effect and it worked awesome, had to improvise alot and ended up costing quite a bit more, but was totally worth it. You guys are great, keep it up.

Hey IndyMogul. Great tutorial, although I have a hose nozzle specifically made to make a rain like consistent downpour but this tutorial rocks! I also spend most of my time at the local hardware store to prepare a list of stuff ill need to construct your effects! Keep up the awesome work!
