I am currently saving up for a DSLR camera to shoot video with - right now I am limited to using a "Flip" style video camera. Is it possible to do an episode highlighting rigs and techniques to make the most of this type of "low budget" camera?

you have a point that paper and plastic is cheaper, but i'm assuming most indymogulers have scrap wood and materials laying around... it always helps to have a sturdy prop

How about trying to make a fake amputated arm (from the elbow) which has joints in the wrist and fingers so the hand can flop around when the arm is being held instead of being one firm fake arm?

Hey Zack and the gang I am a big fan of Backyard FX and Indy Mogul as a whole. I am pleased to see you keeping it real and affordable and thank you for not getting stuck up. Keep up the good work because we newbies need guidance and this show is the best I have found to date. I really appreciate what you guys and gals are doing for the amateur and independent film-making community, and I hope to meet you guys at a convention or somewhere safe from flying saucers and laser toting robots. Stay strong and keep rolling.

Look, this was a good idea and the execution was good. However, you guys DID come off a little bit arrogant. I totally dig the idea of using paper and plastic to economize, but i would like to see more metal projects and a bit more detail on some projects like the car-mounted missiles. Even just some veneer or aluminum flashing would work (between 5 and 10 bucks for a ~20-25' roll). Please don't take any of this as offensive - I really appreciate the films and the work you guys put into this, I'd just like to see a wider variety of materials so those of us who have different materials on-had can make good props and effects on the cheap. Thanks

Could you make funnier, and more action-packed videos like Eric used to? Less Musicals, really. More stuff like the Iron man test film. And try making some harder, more elaborate, and cooler builds. Stuff that we couldn't normally think up on our own...

Where can i get free sound loops for my videos from? and zack I realized I asked this a million times but where can I get a stencil if I'm making the latex superhero mask?
