To tell you the truth, I kind of wouldn't mind having this guy as the host. I mean sure I'll miss the original Erik (no offense to the new guy) but hey, our world revolves around change. Oh, by the way Erik (the new one), if the original Erik doesn't respond to my comment, then can you? I want you to create an Assassin's Creed style hidden blade. If you do, I'll make the video and submit it. Thanks.

I thought this was a bit more interesting than some of the other auditions because instead of trying to copy the show, he did more of a "tribute" (Dartboard of Doom, lots of previous BFX gadgets used in episode). Also, there was not a whole lot of random effects... which IMO distract the viewer unless they have ADHD.

it seems he is more intittled to call it his show instead of indy mogul. plus he is more concerned that he will win than sayin somthing about Erik. so my final decision is the guy who made the spiderman web shooters. i think his name is Ryan

Build was really good, and easy to follow. Can't say much for the test film or the host. Just not my style of humor. I'm going to stick with last week's builder.

Erik looked like he put a of hard work into this one and he's definately one of my favourites, plus it looked like he's got a lot experiance with bulids and effects, I would love to see how that 'Venom' transfromation was done!

Seemed a bit awkward when hosting, but overall a pretty good job.

bad camera quality, rather simple build and the test film wasn't very funny, but all in all good job

I was not crazy about this guy he was good, but i have seen better.

He was OK , just OK ! Indy Mogul needs someone who is GREAT not just OK! The sound was not up to pro level. In certain parts, he did not seem sure of himself on camera.
Finally, the cannon should have been explained and demonstrated in more detail. Definitely Zack Finfrock is the NEW HOST! As I said before with a name like Zack Finfrock how can you go wrong!

Pick this guy to host BFX please

Eh, he was alright but I feel like he was leaning too heavily on the visual effects rather than prop building. His prop turned out fairly well, but in watching it's build he didn't go into much detail on how he actually made the prop, such as rewiring the light to work off of a switch. All in all he was not bad but not the best of the choices.

I liked this guy but the last guy was my favorite. (The one that did the floating droid.)

This was a pretty good audition.  Maybe the jet pack guy, last week's guy and this guy could have a build off.  They each have to do their own take on the same project.  The best man wins!

I still think the radial dolly was the best thing made on BFX.
Very practical, quick and easy, VERY effective and extremely universal.  A lot of BFX props tend to look like... well... like they belong in a little kids movie that no one should ever see, but the radial dolly is great.  Maybe I just like equip. builds more, I dunno.

That said, the droid episode was pretty killer!
Well built, looked good, and well presented.  Whoever that one was (forget the name) clearly put forth a solid effort and took the time to do it right.  You don't want someone with terrible sound, etc. to run the show.

If I were making the choice, I'd prob. go with the Droid guy, based on the quality episode he made, but would request that he also did a few episodes for interesting equip. builds.

Just from his intro he appears to be hinting that he is going to try to spend some episodes showing us tutorials on After Effects and other post production software.  But they already do this on the show "FilmRiot" by Revision3.   I've been a viewer of BFX because I want to know how to build practical effects.  I watch "FilmRiot" for post tricks.  Just saying.

Not bad. I like his even-keel personality, save the possessed puppet, but other than that it was good. I liked the combination of not just a build, but an effect tutorial too.

My favorites are still (in this order) Blood Cannon, Floating Droid, and the arn cannon. I like the blood cannon cuz, let's face it, I'm  a sucker for gore. I like the floating droid cuz it was plain awesome.  And the demon zombie bear and the knife throw at the wheel of prosperity was really neat and inventive.

Flying droid is the best. In this audition tape, the audio was weak, bad spelling, and the hosting wasn't as entertaining as the others.

Okay, but not the best.  Weak audio, he needed to rehearse a bit more, and the build is okay but nothing special.

I want to see a tutorial vid on how to make that Iron suit he had in the background, that was awesome!

The Best on so far is the Flying Droid, Second is Necronomicon and third is Jetpack.  This one comes in fourth.
