I've got to call this one probably the best one of the BFX episodes I have seen. Cool and complete tutorial, and great humor as well.

This is one of the best Backyard Fx episode i have ever seen. This guy put a lot of work into this, and covered a lot of history. I Want him to be the new host.

Wow. This guy is amazing. Build was very good and the test film was amazing! The only thing I would change would be when he talks about the green screen, he should also show us. But other that that, great! My personal favorite!

There have been some really awesome hosts I agree with Volken below. Why not have a cycle of hosts... It would be great.

There have been a lot of innovative projects and great talent showcased during the audition process so I would like to suggest rather than picking a permanent host why not have different ones each week chosen by the Indy Mogul team.

Hey Zack! Great audition episode! Here are somethings to consider if you are the host: 1) The "Indy Mogul" part at the beginning is too bright. Try to darken it a little. 2) You didn't mention about the lighting gels, how much they cost, and where to get them. Otherwise great job on your audition episode.

As I said in my last comment I have been a Indy Mogul fan for a long time. Mike ( Jet pack Guy ) was good. Honestly  after seeing this audition, this is the new HOST for your show !! He strikes a good balance. He's young, good camera presence, funny and most important able to create, build and explain a EFX build for the audience.
The test film was just EXCELLENT !! I hate to say it, being I really like Indy Mogul but recently your test films were not in the same level of quality as some of  your original work. In my opinion Zack is the MAN !! Hey with a name like ZACK FINFROCK how can how can you go wrong!!

Best tutorial and short film I've seen from BFX in a while. The host was just alright, but the build was awesome.

Best build yet cheap and easy to make but not the best host. Keep in mind that the host has lots of help so personality is a big factor not just the quality of the build.
1st dave then ryan, zack, mike, patrick, and last garret.

All I can say is WOW. The build was great and entertaining. The host had a honest sort of humor, and the test film is possibly the best I've seen. Keying was done a lot better than I thought it would be. Also liked that he referenced Video Copilot, as most others just take credit the work done by Andrew Kramer.

gotta say, that was awesome! This and the blood shooter are my favorites. It looks like this guy is better with computer effects and the guys who did the blood shooter are better with practical effects.

I enjoyed this episode, The test film was great. Thou the host didn't have the same energy as some others, I did in joy his sense of humor, his honesty and his encouragement to change the design, just as Eric would have.

you should build a filming platform so you can get high shots

When you finish with the audition episodes you should do a arm/head tear! Instead of using a blood shooter though its much more convenient if you find a long bag filled with blood and place that in between the two halves of the leg. THen when you rip it blood will spill out.

Well, honestly the show is about making good props first of all and the jetpack was better. But this was almost as good as that one and this guy got the spirit so I prefer this guy before the jet-pack dude. And this test-film was the best!

Listen I know you like this guy but some of these guys only have experience in certain film genres.in amatter of fact bfx only has done horror, science fiction, and action. WHAT ABOUT ROMANCE, COMEDY, AND EPIC

Wow, that was an awesome submission! Very professional, good presentation, good build and an excellent short.  This guy is at the top of my list, with the guy from last week a distant second.

this guy was good, this guy and the radial dolly guy, every one else was trying too hard. he built a great prop, presented it well and make a great test film. he should make a video on lighting.

Definitely one of the best test films.  Mostly due to good acting, compared to some of the bad stuff we've seen in the other auditions.

All the submissions have been good, but this one had the best test film. I love simple builds to, this could've been very complex, but it was cheap and easy. Perfect DIY Filmmaking.

This guy is definately my favourite so far! He's got a good on screen personality, he looks really talented if that AWSEOME test film was anything to go by, seriously, I have no idea how you got some of the shots in that, the lighting totally matched up with the robot and the rooms. Anyway, I think you have a very good chance of winning Zack!

I agree with the others. He was funny, but he didn't over do it. The build was excellent and, most importantly, it was CHEAP!!! The drawings were cool too. The test film was great, and he had a good attitude and energy. It's gonna be tough to choose though, cuz i could care less for the others, but patrick's was pretty awesome too. Tough decision. But any ways a great build and episode!

This was cool! As a previous comment stated, I too have no use for the prop but defiantly want to build one now! I liked the filming on the test film and I liked the fact he was really relaxed and the drawings were a great touch! Well done!

Zack is the man!
The build was simple, entertaining and easy for everyone to understand and the test film was not only funny but AWESOME. Can't ask more from a BFX episode. Plus he has a funny name.

His hosting abilities are a major plus as he was much more comfortable in front of the camera than any of the others we've seen. He spent a lot of time developing graphics. And the puppet, although not an original idea, was a great compliment and really maintains the BFX tradition. The build was clear and concise and I feel he will also be able to produce great content week after week as I said Mike would. This is tough, but Erik mentioned that they may have saved the best for last, and I'm going to have to agree on that. As a whole package, Zack takes the cake!

If anybody can even come close to replacing you Erik, it has to be this guy. 

His episode was very confident, his build was simple but effective, his knowledge of special effect use is great, and he has all that he needs to keep the show going.

I liked it. He was very even keel about everything, and he had a simple but effective idea. I wouldn't say my favorite, but definitely up there. I would not at all be upset if he won.

I watched this with low expectations.  A droid? !?
HOWEVER, I rather enjoyed it, and the build turned out to be pretty kick ass.  I don't have any use in mind for such a prop, but now I want to make one.

I like this guy a lot, I actually registered to say so. He had a simple yet quality build and better yet, his acting and his short were good. That is where the other guys fall short, they aren't as natural on camera. Its as if they are talking to the camera instead of talking to you.

Loved this guy's test film. I felt like overall, this episode was the strongest, but I feel bad sidelining the other guys who tried so hard. Definitely this guy Zach or the jetpack guy (Mike I think) are my top two.
