This guy's creativity, acting, effects, camera work, and overall film quality is garbage. He copied all his effects from VC and just slapped elements from Action Essentials 2 into it. Glad he isnt the new host.

half of this episode reminds me of the best short films in the world.

hmm, not everyone has an air compressor... you should show us how to build the everything we need for the effect. And I think you use to much sound effects. It loses the power.

I don't care for this one at all. Both are lame, and unfunny. The build is an old one. WAY WAY TOO MUCH VIDEO COPILOT! They need to stick with the build more and WAY LESS on the effects. And if they are going to use effects, don't make them identical as the tutorial you learned them from. Make them slightly different so they look some what original and not just copied word for word from the original. Also, not everyone can get an air compressor for free. I prefer Erik's build because his is completely portable. No need for electricity. I really hope they don't get picked to replace Erik.

This was good. They used new ideas but kept the same concept. 
Presentation was good but perhaps not so much " see what I can do :" and stick with the build. Over all, good rating.

pretty good but I think it was way too over crammed with random effects(although some of them were cool.) Either way, they're entertaining, so I really wouldn't mind them as the new host/hosts. I think that the only one I don't like is Dave. His humor was a bit too nonexistent for me. He had a cool build though.

NO! The cannon was good but they were to cheesy bad jokes dumb test film. Ryan and Dave were the best. Maybe you could have two hosts?

Please don't pick these guys. I don't know where to start. First of all the build is a very old build from the early episodes of BFX, second as someone else pointed out air compressors are not free they can be very expensive. There was way to much effects in there test film and most of them straight out of video copilot. the only thing I liked was the money ninja. by far the poorest so far.

It was an okay submission.  Little heavy 'handed'... okay a lot heavy handed with the hand gestures and a wee bit over the top with all the VideoCopilot AfterEffects stuff... hey, maybe Andrew Kramer could be the new host... eh, if he's busy there's the guy from last week! Oh, yeah, gotta love the guy(s) who say they would do an awesome episode... if they had time... yeah, he want's to do BFX for a living anyway? Lame!

Production on the build portion is decent... but Using some techniqes eric showed us in season one you could make this HELLA cheaper and NOT using an air compressor.... If you want to see what i mean, check out the original gunshot squib episode, and replace Eric's Soda Bottle with a PVC chamber. You're essentially making aan air powered potatoe Cannon....and the test film was a little meh. Great prop though, The principal behind it is sound and useful for alot of filmmakers. Mad respect for stepping up and submitting. If i had the time i would be right there with you,

Don't mean to be rude, but they lacked actual humor. Nearly everything was off Video Copilot, and the build itself was hastily mashed together. They hoped to wow the audience with effects, rather than the actual build.

please do not pick these guys! they where by far the worst out of all the audition videos to date. they were not funny, and they just used a bunch of stuff from video copilot! im not trying to be rude im just trying to save the indy mogul viewers from a future of sucky bfx episodes

one question...How is an air compressor free? are they giving them away now? otherwise very informative.

Over all I'll give it a 6/10

Not the best.  The videography is kinda' weak (hint - make close-ups close, wide shots wide.  Sloppy medium shots look, well, sloppy) and it seems like they were stretching to fill time.

i think these guys should win. I think that the build was the best out of all the auditions.

The most technically proficient episode but not my favorite host.

I have to be honest, that was overly ambitious. The whole thing was sort of cheesy and obnoxious. I wouldn't look forward to this every week.

I usally come off as being rude while watching these auditions but I have to admit, this one was very good.  All the lower thirds kept me watching and the build was ok too.

Not bad.Not my Fav. They made it look easyenough to build. But...Looking at some of their other footage... looks like all they know how to do is blood and guts. Just sayin...

Actually, I thought it was well edited, but an air compressor is NOT free. I don't know anyone with an air compressor.
