Scars generally dont stick out they go in or are flat, best way to do it is to apply a thin layer of latex, stretch the skin horizontally where the latex is and force dry it with a hair dryer, this will give you the slightly shiny stretched skin effect you need.

an easier thing to do is to buy a bottle of collodion itll cost you 10 bucks you don't need to cover it with extra makeup and it looks real has hell

I regret using CGI more than prctical effects although CGI has almost know boundaries but on October 31 I'm releasing my film ''The missing'' on youtube and it only uses practical effects with a minute length of 7 mins and an eqeully low budget of about £3 woo hoo plz watch I would like some feedback :)

I have some experience w/ real life scars,and that one was good, but alot of scars heal a bit flatter than that. just an observation. the whole thing was all cinimatic looking, nice. made Erik look even better than he already does.. :)
