Rip a Heart Out of Someone's Chest

sick awsome job

i did this build but made it easier by just putting a plastic bag of newspaper in the shirt (with slits in both for the heart to come out of) and a made the heart have cool veins by digging into the surface of it with a pencil. Before the shoot i then nestled the heart in the newspaper (or in a box in the newspaper and covered it in fake blood. It worked great

You could use a real animal heart you can buy from a Spanish Super Market. A pig heart would be around the right size. You could also get intestines there, adds a level of realism and they are not expensive. Just use the same day and refrigerate / keep on ice until ready. For 4 bucks a real heart and intestines. Use quickly or you’ll smell very bad!

yeah, i think adding like some small tubes would help make it look more realistic, or add some more blue to the blood to give it that darker look.

i just got a great idea for a variation on this. its for a torso slash effect. you do the same but with out the heart and more blood and a longer food container. then, instead of putting a shirt over it, you could add a bunch of rubber cement or something, to make skin. add make up over the skin and then when you slice it blood will pour out. rambo did that in the movie, except in that, they had a bunch of guts that fell out with the blood.

Make sure to make the blood really dark. That looked SOOOOOO fake. Just add blu or green colour to it. The heart it selft maybe should have been darker too. Your male cousin was good and so was your aunty but your female cousin while good wasnt as good im sorry.
