Cool video and nice green screen colored shirt ;-), but sadly I must say, that I hated the new Indy Movie. It was just a waste of time, sorry. Why are there a...s anyway? This just doesn't make any sense to me.

  • Amy (guest) wrote on July 1, 7:47 am

I thought the movie was awesome...right up until that last little part where they should have left it ambiguous, but got too excited over their special effects. It was still a great movie though! And I love this two-part special! :D

  • Luca (guest) wrote on June 29, 9:55 am

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that for about the same price point ($10 a lb.) you can get alja-safe from smooth-on which works just like alginate but does not shrink, so the problems you had with deformity would not be an issue.

  • Vanisher wrote on June 4, 11:07 am

Honestly current episode was rather unimpressive in comparison with the last weaks one.The "skull" dosen't look even close to what it should like.Seriously indy mogul as your long time fan I must say I am very dissapointed.

  • IrishDevil wrote on June 3, 11:55 pm

I agree with the one above comment, it looks like you didn't properly cure the resin. That stuff does come out super clear AFTER you sand and buff it out. I recommend a dremmel tool to get those tough areas. The air bubbles need to be tapped out and let the resin cure with heat applied. I think that's how it works. You're on to something with the resin. Try something simpler first though, like a cube. I'm sure someone would love to see a Crystal Dagger for some movie. That would be an easier shape.

  • aaron (guest) wrote on June 3, 9:03 pm

I loved the first indiana special this one was baddd though the idea it self was not that great, the production/setup is still good though

Indy Mogul, Indiana Jones and Waverly films all together. I do believe that is as nice as a pineapple upside down cake covered in the awesomeness of the universe

  • movieallstar wrote on June 3, 4:51 pm

it was funny and action packed PIMP'IN

  • Killjoy666 wrote on June 3, 3:10 pm

i think that u could have made a better one out of sugar.

  • Filmmaker55 wrote on June 3, 2:54 pm

Pretty good solution. I think you could drop in to you wax this light up toys from wal-mart the flash lights when you shake them then it will be the light up crystal skull. You know what else would work somewhat. Sand casting glass. You could get a really nice face not sure how you would do the back.

  • M3n747 (guest) wrote on June 3, 12:31 pm

The shape's just great, but the skull still looks like molten candles, not crystal.

As for Indy 4, the film was fun and had some terrific moments but nonetheless I prefer the classic trilogy. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull simply felt too rushed, action-packed and the ending with the aliens was rather silly.

  • Tony Bullard (guest) wrote on June 3, 12:22 pm

This one was pretty disappointing. You admit yourself it doesn't look too good, and it sure didn't come across on film...just looks like a big ball of wax.

  • Jorb wrote on June 3, 9:45 am

Indiana Jones? Aliens? Thats a no go! Beginning was good though

  • maguilla wrote on June 3, 2:49 am

    indiana blows, indy mogul not

  • Ritchie (guest) wrote on June 3, 1:10 am

Great two part episodes on Indy.

I thought Crystal Skull was a hell of a lot of fun. It was great finally be able to see an Indy movie in theaters.

  • BonOfTheDead (guest) wrote on June 3, 12:28 am

    oh crap.
    waverly flams?
    i love those guys :D

  • DJ Andy wrote on June 2, 11:54 pm

It was good, just too waxy (stupid since it was made out of wax, I know.) but it wasn't crystal enough.

The whole psychic taking over was cool though.

  • mathijsdemachtige wrote on June 2, 11:52 pm

    you made my week good

  • fantom1971 wrote on June 2, 11:10 pm

in order to use the polyester casting resin, you must mix it carefully. a hot mix ( too much catalist) will make the casting cloudy. Also pour the mix slowly into the mould. Tap the mould to get rid of air bubbles, and fill the mould a little at a time(about one inch) let that cure then add some more.

  • neckstab wrote on June 2, 11:03 pm

I hate to be a spoiled sport but for $40 you can buy a real Indy skull at Target....

    http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=1-1/qid=1212462139/ref=sr_1_1/601-3603250-7046521?ie=UTF8&asin=B0017RXZN4&rh=k%3Atoy%5Fskull&page=1

  • neckstab wrote on June 2, 10:58 pm

If you have your shoot worked out to the "T" one could use ice! Way more clear. Make sure to boil the water first to get that real clear ice. Careful it MELTS!

  • ciwi286 wrote on June 2, 7:13 pm

How fitting, I come home from the movie to this episode of BFX!

The skull looked great although it not being that clear was a bit of a downer, Great job thought!

  • indy42 wrote on June 2, 7:02 pm

cool. it did look a little too flat, but overall pretty good. would have been hard to top last weeks bfx.

KOTCS was awesome. Seriously, a fun movie, 3rd best in the series.

  • dredell wrote on June 2, 7:02 pm

I always watch, and this is the first time that the project seemed rushed, and the test film seemed to indicate a reticence to show the final product. I am not saying anything more than that I think if you took another work day and put it towards the skull that you would have more faithfully translated your efforts to success.

  • ivo (guest) wrote on June 2, 7:01 pm

Hey Eric, why not try and make the crystal skull out of sugar, just melt it over water and use a little of Karo syrup on it, or other clear sucrose or glucose product. Good Luck. (by the way i would make the crystal skull, but i'll make a mess and my mom will kill me!!!)

  • UncleAl wrote on June 2, 6:48 pm

Nice build. Would there be some sort of clear resin you could slushmold in the skull cavity? I'm not certain.

  • texabyte wrote on June 2, 6:42 pm

why did u have 2 go 2 califonia

  • MattLikesMusic (guest) wrote on June 2, 6:02 pm

Hey guys. first of all, im a big fan :D and second, i had an idea about how you could make the crystal skull even better...

befor the head dries, stick some LEDs in there, run the wires out, and fix a battery compartment on to the back of the scull. You could make some cool inversions of this, i.e. different colors, flashing, etc.

Of course, for this to be possible the skull would have to be transluscent enough to create the cool effect, but you guys are geneouses so im sure you could think of something :D

    -Matt

  • Dobbybabee (guest) wrote on June 2, 5:41 pm

A little sad that the skull wasn't crystal clear, but Dobbybabee still is filled with happiness. And chips. After seeing the video.

P.S. Dobbybabee says that Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is the Best. FTW!

  • Spellcaster94 wrote on June 2, 5:13 pm

I thought the new movie was good and the best for NOW it's just hard to believe Harrison Ford can still do these movies like he is old.when it comes to cheap film making indy (mogul) is the best!!!!!

  • connor (guest) wrote on June 2, 4:55 pm

amazing you may have been able to hollow out the center of the wax skull so it will be a little more clear but you will need to be very carefull because it will be delicate of theres this stuff called candle gel? or sumthing gel thet is clear as watter and i think its some what stonger so some one should try it.... ill b first on youtube muwahhahaha

  • youngspeildberg wrote on June 2, 4:53 pm

I luv the movie! How did u do the crystal skull effect in the test film?

  • James (guest) wrote on June 2, 4:50 pm
