BFX: Indiana Jones Face Melt
Welcome to part one of our two part Indiana Jones Special. This week we've been challenged by Eric Zala the director of "Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation" to create an awesome face melt effect for cheap! This is probably Indy Mogul's grossest effect yet so you better leave a comment and tell your friends!

Great effect, nice layering with the wax. But you can't do a Indiana Jones special without the giant boulder!

TIP: If your studio doesn't smell to good, mix liquid scent in with the wax. You can get it at most craft stores near the wax.

My favorite as of now is The Growing old(Wrong Cup) effect from Crusade, But I also love the fake tank with nazi falling off the cliff and smashing to the ground!

awesome my favorite effect is the shooting darts booby traps are awesome! Keep it up
my favorite one was when the saw blade from the tree cutting machine cut the truck that Jones was driving down the middle.
The best part is when the guy gets sucked down into the rolling stone crusher and just gets squished into a strip of blood!

you sould make a episode (indiana stye) on healing bullet wounds like last crusade

also to make a boulder - film all of it miniture and green screen in your actor
That was an awesome effect well done =D i've seen crystal skull 3 times now i didn't like it that much at first but i liked it more and more each time and i was wondering how to make a skull so i can't wait!
o and as far effects go i really love the whole ant sequence in crystal skull...either that or the heart rip in tempe of doom but u guys have already done that

my fav special effect from the indy movies is that one! My other favs include the boulder and the ants from the new movie. Am i the only one that was a little disappointed by KOTCS? It was definitely entertaining, but to be honest, the plot sucked.

woa... that was pretty awesome. I think you could have made it a little bit better by doing a pit of stop motion hair drying. that way you could make his face melt off the way you want.

Excellent work, quality episode. The iSmite was pretty clever. Only thing - I dont think ancient hebrew included roman numerals, lol (on the 10 commandments tablets).

My favorite effect is in the temple of doom where the guy is being lowered into that lava pit thing and hes all on fire
My favorite scene is without a doubt the disappearing bridge in "Last Crusade". It was such a clever idea and it looked great in the film.
btw cool build but darker reds would have been more realistic.
