For the gun turret question. If you're not trying to make a sci fi turret, I recommend you watch there BFG episode, I figure you could take two things like those and attach them to a spacey looking swivel chair.

If you want to make an actual turret which was used in some past war, you'll probably need to spend a fair amount of money.

For the guts question, You can get animal parts from a butcher, I don't know the cost.

That didn't seem like a very useful episode. All it really teaches is how to make your costume. The only general tip you give is what to use for tights.
