  • adjustedlightbulb wrote on June 20, 9:50 pm

I love the idea. Heck, I'm uploading a tutorial now!

  • john testa (guest) wrote on June 20, 10:44 pm

    awesome love the episode

  • Weker1 wrote on June 20, 10:54 pm

    Coolness!
I'm fine with viewer submisions however Steve Still needs to do his own, were not lettin him off that easily.
And I always love when Alan k shows up!

  • youngspeildberg wrote on June 20, 11:27 pm

OMG DO U GUYS KNOW HOW AWESOME?! I must make lessons. Oh! and i think both the monster vocies(which is sweet) and 3D models (which is awesome) is awesome (that did not make sense...... don't judge me!)

  • mr_morp wrote on June 20, 11:53 pm

Great film school episode. Can you guys go over the 3d modeling thing again? I understood until you got to the part about the "scene" thing.

  • SynaMax (guest) wrote on June 20, 11:58 pm

Yeah, I'll definitely be uploading a music tutorial soon :D

  • AspiringMovieMaker wrote on June 21, 12:52 am

I agree with Weker1 Steve should do some episodes but it is good to see user submissions making a comeback

  • Black Dawn Productions wrote on June 21, 1:02 am

I like the idea, but your videos are in greater depth and description. Plus, you guys are natural and fun to watch.
    =]

  • JadeMunky wrote on June 21, 2:25 am

Awesome. I'd never heard of sketch up before. Looking forward to messing around and making some weapons with it :)

  • Bojac wrote on June 21, 2:50 am

Wow this sucked...waste of 4 minutes

  • mathijsdemachtige wrote on June 21, 3:42 am

awsome now I have somthing to do whit sketchup

  • Nintendo_Fanboy wrote on June 21, 6:31 am

I agree waste of 4 minutes... Steve actually do something!!! And I hate the horrible vids that you guys picks. yuck...

  • Jrobmovieman13 wrote on June 21, 8:16 am

    WHERE IS Q & ERIK??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????

  • tommy012345 wrote in reply on June 26, 1:36 pm

Q & Erik is once a month and its LIVE!

  • stikyfingas wrote on June 21, 8:47 am

I prefer when you guys do it 90% of te time viewer submitted stuff has horrible audio. The animal voices had good sound but I dont use FCP so its not that relevant to me. Stop phoning it in Steve!

  • Westhor (guest) wrote on June 21, 9:20 am

¡I'd love to see my video tutorials on 4MFS! ¡I'll send them in!

  • walid (guest) wrote on June 21, 9:59 am

where the hell are the normal episodes?

it's good that the viewer videos are shown but where's steve's episodes? I'm sure he'll redeem himself tho. the git...

  • Shawn_of_Shark_Studios wrote on June 21, 10:14 am

Yes! I sent in a tutorial a while back and would love for it to be shown! And if IM continues showing viewer work for a while that would encourage me to make more tutorials.

  • PurpleGoon wrote on June 21, 11:22 am

I think the user submissions are awesome, but Steve should still do some of his own shows every so often.

  • Doodles (guest) wrote on June 21, 12:16 pm

In my opinion steve should do his usual 4 minute episode, and if he has some spare time he should definitely add in a user submission at the end, but not base the entire show on user submissions. I hope indy mogul aren't getting lazy cos i haven't seen an episode of Q&Erik in ages and there have been numerous occasions where episodes were replaced with adverts or user submissions.
But still, i think indy mogul rocks and the last bfx episode was awesome! keep it up Erik.

  • Black Dawn Productions wrote in reply on June 21, 12:53 pm

    Much agreed about the lazyness.

  • FLMM4KR (guest) wrote in reply on June 21, 1:42 pm

The disappointing thing about this site lately, I agree, is laziness. It tears me up to see that episodes of web shows I live by as a filmmaker are either not aired (Q & Erik) or are given to complete strangers! WHAT!?!?

  • beeeceeedeee (guest) wrote on June 21, 12:57 pm

If Phil is actually a real film guy, have him do some demos with Jared.

  • LongJakthePyrate wrote on June 21, 1:22 pm

LongJak the Pyrate agrees that Steve can help us learn by learning from the Indy Mogul viewers....Muhahahaha

  • LongJakthePyrate wrote on June 21, 1:22 pm

I also agree with Doodles...I like learning the things that Steve teaches as well

  • fxworld (guest) wrote on June 21, 1:36 pm

i like the old 4 min film school this is really boring i learned more with steave

  • HiDefNC (guest) wrote on June 21, 2:51 pm

I like Steve. l like the Phil guy. Maybe someting without the iPod?

  • ibend1 wrote on June 21, 3:17 pm

    i might submit somthin'

  • ThreeOnAMeathook wrote on June 21, 7:01 pm

Meh...not too bad, but I don't think I'll ever use it.

One man's trash is another man's treasure I suppose.

  • Shannmanlives wrote on June 21, 7:07 pm

Are you kidding me? That's it. Steve, it's simple. If your hearts not in this anymore, stop doing it. These cop out episodes are getting insulting. If there's something going on in your life that stops you from doing the episodes, let us know and take some time off. Get someone else to do the show. But if it's just laziness, stop having so little respect for your viewers. Justs remember that this site lives and dies by subscribers, and if this is the quality of episode we can expect from now on, then don't expect us to expect us to stick around.

  • Jorb wrote on June 21, 7:34 pm

I like the idea of viewer submissions but as long as they are of a good quality content wise! If your running out of ideas though why not try something new like having one topic each month such as after effects or DVD studio pro and going really in depth with it. By the way please do a tutorial on DVD studio pro.

  • Maluro wrote on June 21, 8:02 pm

    Oohhh hell no..
I had to do a 3D model of my house for a school proyect.
    Kinda difficult to use...
Sorry but the sounds... didn't sound monster like..

    I like the 3D tip though =)

  • LIVELAX22 wrote on June 21, 9:19 pm

I believe that viewer lessons are nice, but I'd like to see more lessons from pros, as well as steve, why is he learning now?! i loved it when he was teaching us!!!

  • Sicarius (guest) wrote on June 22, 12:20 am

This was a decent episode but it was kind of irrelevent to me in particular. I'd like steve to do his usual thing.film schools might be able to help with ideas for shows. honestly the mise-en sine or whatever it was really helped me more so than this. so I think this is okay to do this like once every 4 weeks while steve does his thing the other 3.

  • Ravensend wrote on June 23, 10:49 am

I think the submitted videos would be ok as extra vids, but we really need and are due some real four min film schooling.

  • Jimmy Dean wrote on June 23, 3:16 pm

This is gay, Steve is lazy now, and their picking lame lessons

  • Jimmy Dean wrote on June 23, 3:16 pm

plus that first kid is a super nerd

  • FloppySauce wrote on June 25, 2:17 am

maybe if some of you would go back and watch the first episode of 4mfs you see why they put submitted videos in

  • mad monkey awesomeness productions wrote on June 28, 7:13 pm

Ya viewer submitions are are fine but I wanna see Steve's tutorials!

  • G-Squared wrote on July 15, 3:38 pm

Oh man... NEVER AGAIN!! Get off your arse and do something steve!

  • Sp3ng (guest) wrote on July 26, 7:21 am

If your going to use a 3d modelling program, use a proper one thats designed for 3d animation and not interior design. e.g. Blender3D is a FREE software package thats about as good as maya or 3ds max
